Hi to all the Cox’s!
On Margaret’s request, and thanks to some photos received from Mike, I have created a book for Betty to display the photos taken at Easter in the Ardilaun.

Jack & Jill nurses Sinéad Moran and Eilín Ní Mhurchú called in to Logue’s Shoeshop to help us promote our Happy Faces event, which will take place in the Shoeshop on Saturday April 6th.
Now is the time to get that portrait taken and support a great charity! It could be a portrait of yourself, a grandparent, teen or child. By making a donation of €25 to the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation, you will receive a mini portrait session and a 7″x5″ desktop print in a presentation folder. The full amount of the donation goes to the charity and funds raised locally will be used locally.
Spread the word!
It’s ‘Happy Faces Day’ time of year again! This year we will be holding our HFD event in Logues Shoe-shop on Williamsgate Street, Galway on Saturday 6th April from 10am to 5pm.
This annual nationwide event gives you a chance to have a professional portrait taken and support a very worthwhile charity. The benefiting charity once again this year is the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation.
For a donation of €25 to the charity, you can have your portrait taken and later receive a 7″x5″ print in a presentation folder. 100% of the donation goes to the charity.
So, please come along to Logue’s Shoe-shop on Saturday April 6th, have a little fun and support a very worthy children’s charity.
Further details of the event can be found here http://happyfaces.irishphotographers.com/about.php

We will be having a display at the ‘Show your Business’ event in the Eyre Square, Galway branch of Bank of Ireland as part of their Enterprise Week – Friday 18th to Friday 25th May.
Please come along to see our display where you can enter our draw for a portrait sitting and a framed 12″ print.
See you there!
There was a great presentation event held at the Fitzpatrick Hotel, Killiney yesterday.
The Happy Faces committee presented the massive €80,000 cheque to the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation! A record number of photographers (approx 100) took part in the event in April and raised this record amount for the charity.
We were also really thrilled to pick up a prize in the ‘Canon Happy Faces Day Portrait Award 2012’! The prize was for runner-up in a competition that had a record number of entries.
We would like to express our gratitude to the staff of the Ardilaun Hotel, where our HFD event was held and, of course, to all the participants who generously supported the event and the charity.
Congratulations to Maria Rohan, and family, of Athenry, who won a portrait session and a framed 16in print in our draw.
We were delighted in the interest shown in our recent displays at the Briarhill Shopping Centre and the Bank of Ireland and in the participation in the draw. To celebrate this, and our recent national Award for Best Classical Portrait Image, we will be drawing a number of runner-up prizes and sending out vouchers over the next week.
A huge thank you to all who participated or just expressed an interest in our display!
Please come and join us at the Ardilaun Hotel this Sunday 25th March for our Happy Faces day event!
You can have a professional portrait taken of yourself or your loved-ones and receive a gift-sized photograph in a presentation folder, for a donation of €25 to the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation. More details can be seen here http://www.studio5.ie/happy_faces_day.php
We were thrilled to win this award at the IPPA National Photographic Awards gala function in the Burlington Hotel last Sunday. It’s an honour to be selected for the top prize in this category against such tough competition.
The image is a favourite of mine because I feel that the taking of quality portraits of our family elders, which will be treasured for generations, is often overlooked. The image had gained a ‘Diamond’ award during the heats and went on to win top prize!
The portrait was taken in our ‘Timeless’ style and I’m delighted to be able to able to offer this service to all our clients in Galway and beyond!
